Sheffield Wednesday defender Madjid Bougherra claims he has signed a contract with Charlton.
The Owls reluctantly agreed a fee with The Addicks on Friday after the Algerian defender made it clear that he wanted to head to The Valley.
Bougherra was given permission to speak to Charlton and he claims to have reached an accord with the London club's paymasters.
A statement released on Bougherra's personal website stated a four-and-a-half-year contract had been finalised.
Neither Charlton nor Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the deal, but it would appear that the 24-year-old will be plying his trade in the Premiership in the near future.
The Addicks are mired in trouble towards the foot of the Premiership and manager Alan Pardew will hope Bougherra can help shore up his porous defence.
