Andersen out to regain place

Charlton keeper Stephan Andersen is keen to regain his place in the Charlton side.

Charlton keeper Stephan Andersen is confident that he can regain his place in Alan Curbishley's first team.

The Danish 24-year-old featured during The Addicks' impressive start to the season, but recently lost his place to the returning Dean Kiely.

"I don't feel I have anything to prove," said Andersen.

"Apart from one or two goals this season, I haven't had a chance on any of them.

"It's the coach's choice to field Dean Kiely, but I shall prove in training that it is me who should be between the posts."

Kiely conceding five goals on his Premiership comeback against Manchester City can only have helped Andersen's cause.
