Monaco's Mohamed Kallon is being targeted by a number of clubs even though it had been thought he might remain in the Principality.

The Sierra Leone international has often been the subject of speculation in recent years, particularly regarding a move to The Premiership.

Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce confirmed his interest in the former Internazionale attacker last December but the latest reports in France suggest that West Brom and Charlton Athletic are jostling for his signature.

A return to Italy cannot be discounted either with Serie B outfit Genoa also admirers of the 25-year-old.

Charlton have already snared Darren Bent from Ipswich Town but are still believed to be in the market for another forward while West Brom failed in bids to sign Crystal Palace's Andrew Johnson and Tottenham star Fredi Kanoute.

Monaco could have a ready-made replacement in Olivier Kapo as the Juventus man is due to undergo a medical at Stade Louis II before accepting a season-long loan deal in Ligue 1.
