Rommedahl explains PSV link-up

Dennis Rommedahl has explained why he is back in Holland training with PSV.

Dennis Rommedahl has explained why he is back in Holland training with PSV Eindhoven.

The Denmark winger is keeping fit ahead of international action with Morten Olsen's side and has no designs on engineering a move away from Charlton Athletic.

When asked by Sky Sports News if Charlton fans should be worried about the situation, he replied: "No, not really.

"It's to keep me fit for the Danish national team.

"The national manager asked me to train somewhere in the world and I asked my old club here and I was able to come and train with them.

"I have been here for eight years and know everybody in this building and most of the players. It's always nice to be back as you're always welcome here, that's a good thing about the club.

"They are very warm in welcoming old players back."

Rommedahl does not regret heading for The Valley despite failing to really mark his mark in London thus far.

"Not really because of what I have been experiencing in Charlton was something I really wanted and want for the future as well," he explained.

"That was why I left PSV. I had been here eight years and wanted something new in my life and still want it."
