Charlton have released youngsters Stacy Long and Neil McCafferty as manager Alan Curbishley begins his preparations for next season.
Both players have been at The Valley for several seasons after working their way through the club's youth ranks in the past couple of years.
Despite showing promise for the club's second string, Curbishley has come to the conclusion that neither player is ready for first team action.
Midfielder Long has been training with Notts County and has been offered a one-month contract by the League Two outfit.
''Things have gone well so far at County,'' Long told the club's official website.
''They've given me a month contract and it's up to me to push on from here.''
McCafferty (pictured), also a midfielder, has returned to his native Ireland to consider his options.
