Dennis Rommedahl thinks Charlton Athletic can still qualify for the Uefa Cup.
Dennis Rommedahl is predicting Charlton Athletic can force their way into the reckoning for a Uefa Cup berth.The Addicks currently lie eighth in The Premiership and are five points behind Liverpool, who occupy the Uefa Cup spot.
A 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Saturday, which was earned by Rommedahl's goal, kept Charlton in the hunt for their maiden adventure in European football.
Danish winger Rommedahl is confident that prize has not yet eluded the London side and remains hopeful the club can fulfil his belief that Charlton are capable of playing in the Uefa Cup.
"When I joined Charlton, I thought we could get into the Uefa Cup and I still think we can," Rommedahl told the London Evening Standard.
"It was a good point at Newcastle and if our away performances are like that, we have a chance."
Rommedahl believes that the players Addicks boss Alan Curbishley brought to The Valley last summer will play an integral role in helping the club to achieve their European aspirations.
He added: "The new players signed in the summer have a lot more experience.
"Danny Murphy and Francis Jeffers have played European football and I was in Europe for six years in a row with PSV."
