Danish winger Dennis Rommedahl has revealed his interest in moving to Charlton Athletic.

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that a deal has been agreed with Charlton and now it remains to be seen whether they can agree terms with the player.

Rommedahl, though, has now indicated that he would be open to the prospect of playing at The Valley.

"It sounds exciting with Charlton," said Rommedahl.

"I will look at the circumstances after Euro 2004.

"But just now I am here in Portugal to play football - so my manager will take care of that.

"After eight years in Holland I am ready for something new and I think the Premier League and Charlton will suit me."

Charlton already have two players in the Danish squad with Claus Jensen and new signing Stephan Andersen, and they will no doubt be recommending Charlton to their international colleague.
