Tranmere have lost Harrison McGahey in their battle to avoid relegation after the defender was recalled by Sheffield United.
The former Blackpool trainee played four times for Rovers having moved on loan in the middle of February but has not been in the squad for the previous two fixtures. Blades boss Nigel Clough, who has injury and suspension concerns, last week suggested he was going to recall McGahey when he had been at Prenton Park for 28 days as defensive cover. And the League Two club confirmed on Monday that McGahey was heading back to South Yorkshire prematurely.
