Nigel Clough has not given up on bringing Kieron Freeman back to Sheffield United despite having a loan request rejected.
The 22-year-old Derby defender is unlikely to command a regular place in the Rams' starting XI next season but he is currently their only recognised right-back after Andre Wisdom, who was on loan with Steve McClaren's men for the majority of the 2013/14 campaign, returned to his parent club Liverpool. "We've asked about Kieron and they've knocked us back," Clough told the Sheffield Star. "But, you never know, there's always a chance that we'll be able to get him here again. We'll wait and see."
