Monty in fight to get fit

Image: Montgomery: Still injured

Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery is hoping to shake off an ankle injury in time for Saturday's home clash with Wycombe.

Montgomery was doubtful for last weekend's postponed clash at Colchester due to an ankle injury, but with an extra week's recovery time is likely to be back in contention. The 30-year-old has been in and out of Danny Wilson's starting line-up this season, with his last appearance in early January as a last-minute substitute in the home win over Yeovil. Meanwhile, the Blades' latest signing Will Hoskins is expected to make his debut for the club against Wycombe, with Wilson to decide whether to start with him on the substitutes' bench or in his starting line-up alongside leading goalscorer Ched Evans.
