Wilson looks to keep Blades

Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson has not been approached by rival clubs for any of his players during the January transfer window.

Speculation has been mounting over the future of midfield pair Stephen Quinn and Nick Montgomery, but Wilson is hopeful his squad will remain intact, with one or two additions, by the end of the month. Wilson denied an approach from Blackpool for Quinn and said: "The whole squad is in my plans, it's not just Stephen. I've said before I'd like to keep it all together and whether that's going to be feasible we'll have to wait and see. "But with less than two weeks of the window to go I'm quite hopeful. Anything can happen I know, but I'm hoping to keep them altogether and if we can't, and it depends on the areas we vacate, we'll have to move quickly." When asked about rumours of a possible move to Leeds for Montgomery, Wilson added: "I've heard nothing at all. There's been nobody at all who's come on about the players and that's a good thing. "Whether they're hearing word come out of here that we don't want them to leave, or they're too expensive, I don't know, but from where I'm sitting and where we are now, why would anyone want to leave?"
