Promotion the aim for Cresswell

Sheffield United striker Richard Cresswell is "desperate" to atone for last season's relegation by returning to the Championship.

The Blades have won all but one of their last 12 games in all competitions and currently occupy the second automatic promotion spot in League One, three points ahead of third-placed Huddersfield. Cresswell, who scored his eighth goal of the season in the weekend win at Bury, told the club's official website: "It's going to be an interesting few months, which we're going to enjoy because this is why you play football. "You want to be in these games and part of successful teams. With all that went on last year by getting relegated, we want to put things right and are desperate to do it." The Blades secured a third straight win in front of 4,000 travelling fans at Bury and Cresswell added: "They're starting to believe in us, the way we play and the gaffer and hopefully we can keep turning out performances like that."
