Parry wants more from strikers

Les Parry has challenged his Tranmere forwards to fill the void left by Jose Baxter's return to Everton.

The 19-year-old loanee went back to across the Mersey to Goodison Park after the 2-2 weekend draw against Brentford and impressed with three goals in 15 games for Rovers, playing in a position just off the central striker. Parry believes he has the personnel within his squad to take up Baxter's role and suggested Andy Robinson could be a front-runner for the berth. "The playing pattern won't change that much, but who the personnel will be I've not decided on yet," he told Tranmere Player. "With Jose going back it makes the squad smaller so everyone has more of an opportunity. Jose was starting every game so there's definitely a place up for grabs. "Whether it's Andy or someone else who gets that we haven't decided yet, but Andy is certainly one of those who is a possibility."
