McDonald: Blades home form key

Sheffield United midfielder Kevin McDonald believes the club's results at Bramall Lane this season are key to their promotion chances.

McDonald has been restricted to four appearances for the Blades since arriving on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer due to an ankle injury, but came through unscathed following his return against Colchester last week. The 22-year-old told the club's official website: "Bramall Lane can be a tough place to come for opposing teams and it's down to us to make it something of a fortress, which is going to be crucial to our hopes of success this season. "Next month we entertain three teams that are expected to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season and it would be great if we could get three positive results, before we host Exeter at the end of the month." The Blades, who take on Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons in their next three home games, have taken 12 points from a possible 15 at Bramall Lane this season.
