Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson is delighted with his side after they earned a convincing 3-0 win against Colchester.
Ched Evans, Chris Porter and Stephen Quinn scored for the Blades at Bramall Lane on Saturday to put the midweek home humbling by Huddersfield result behind them and keep up the pressure at the top of League One.
"It's the only way to bounce back," said Wilson. "I don't think the 3-0 defeat (against Huddersfield) was a fair reflection on the game because we played some good stuff and created plenty of chances in the game. We wanted the players to keep up that sort of performance and they carried on where they left off on Tuesday night.
"Fans want to see an aggressive start and we did that. We were at them from the kick-off. The most enjoyable part of it is that we're creating lots of chances. That's very pleasing."
Evans marked his first start of the season with a goal and Wilson was pleased with his performance.
"Ched is still building up his fitness levels after a spell out injured but he's getting there," said the Blades boss. "His all-round game was excellent and that will have done him a lot of good. You could see when he came off that he'd ran himself into the ground. He linked up well with Porter who also put in a good performance."
