Jonathan Forte says Southampton are raring to go ahead of the new Championship season.
Saints have added Chelsea midfielder Jack Cork and Belgian winger to the squad which came up from League One last term, and are being tipped by some to have another crack at promotion this season. Forte staked his claim for a place in the starting line-up against Leeds on Saturday with a stunning individual goal in the friendly against Yeovil. And the winger feels the squad is in good shape with the big kick-off edging closer. "We've got the players so we just need to work hard and stick together, pre-season has been good to us in that respect so fingers crossed we've got everyone fit," he told Saints' official website. "We've got great players so all we've got to do now is muck in and get the job done against Leeds."
