Dale duo handed new deals

Rochdale have handed new one-year contracts to winger Matt Done and goalkeeper Matt Edwards.

Done, 22, came through the youth system at Wrexham before joining Hereford in June 2008. He signed a short-term deal at Spotland last summer but earned another six months in January and went on to score six goals in 36 appearances. Done said: "As soon as I was offered a new deal, I knew I'd sign. I was delighted to be offered a new deal and I'm looking forward to next season." Second-choice keeper Edwards, 20, had only been on month-to-month deals at the League One club this season. "I'm happy I have security now," said Edwards. "I know I'm still young and have spent two years in the number two slot and I want to work as hard as possible and make the number one shirt mine."
