Adams keen on striker loan

Skysports.com understands Sheffield United have made an enquiry to sign Blackpool striker Marlon Harewood on loan. Blades boss Micky Adams is desperate to bolster his squad as he looks to guide his side out of the drop zone in the Championship and he has targeted a move for Harewood. The Bramall Lane side have the joint lowest goalscoring record in the Championship this season along with fellow strugglers Scunthorpe, having scored just 27 goals this term and Adams sees Harewood as the man to solve those problems. Harewood, who joined Blackpool in the summer, has impressed at Bloomfield Road after scoring five goals in 16 appearances for the Tangerines. The former West Ham man returned to the starting line-up for last weekend's draw with former club Aston Villa after a spell on the bench following injury. United are now waiting to see if Blackpool would be willing to loan out Harewood for the rest of the season as they look to secure their survival in the Premier League.
