Striker keen to play for Ferencvaros

Barnsley striker Istvan Ferenczi is set to return to Hungary to join Ferencvaros. Ferenczi is discussing a move to Ferencvaros after Barnsley accepted an undisclosed bid for the 30-year-old. Tykes boss Simon Davey admits he was reluctant to prevent the Hungary international from joining Ferencvaros. "It has always been a dream of Istvan's to play for the biggest club in Hungarian football and we were not prepared to stand in his way at this stage of his career," Davey told the club's official website. "Istvan has been a great servant to our club and contributed a great deal to our successes in the last two seasons. "He has been a major part in what we have achieved and we all wish him every success in the future." The forward has scored 12 goals in 58 appearances for Barnsley since moving to Oakwell from Zalaegerszeg 18 months ago.
