Sheffield United will be without Derek Geary for three games after it was confirmed he received a straight red against Scunthorpe.
Geary was involved in an off-the-ball incident with Scunthorpe's Cliff Byrne that saw both players sent off during The Blades' 3-2 defeat at Glanford Park.
But, with Geary already having been booked for dissent in the game, club officials were unsure if he had been given a second yellow.
Referee Keith Stroud has now confirmed the player received a straight red, ruling the left-back out of the games against Wolves, Blackpool and Crystal Palace.
