Derby County have agreed a £3 million deal for Claude Davis.The Sheffield United central defender will now seal a move to Pride Park subject to a medical and work permit being granted.
The 28-year-old has only been at Bramall Lane for one season, but he is now set to be reunited with former Preston boss Billy Davies.
"We are delighted to be close to signing a player I know very well, having worked with him in the past," said Davies.
"Claude can grow in stature and experience with us and can play a very crucial role in Derby County's defensive unit this coming season."
