Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery is gutted to miss out against Everton this weekend due to suspension.
Montgomery collected his fifth booking of the season after hauling down Steve Gerrard in The Blades' loss at Liverpool.
The 26-year-old will now sit out United's clash with Everton knowing avoiding a caution against The Reds would have wiped the slate clean.
"It is a massive disappointment; I knew before the game that the slate was wiped clean after Liverpool. I am disappointed to miss the Everton game," he told the club's official website.
"It was a mix-up, Ahmed (Fathi) ran into me from the throw, which caused Gerrard to gain a few yards. There was nothing else I could do, I just hoped the ref wouldn't book me.
"I felt the penalty was sufficient punishment and was gutted when he showed me the yellow card."
