Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock says he is surprised that a Championship club has so far failed to push through a deal for Chris Lucketti.
Lucketti is on the transfer list at Bramall Lane and seems set to head out of the club during January.
Warnock handed Lucketti a Premiership debut at the weekend and even though he produced a solid display against Portsmouth, the defender is still poised to leave.
A host of clubs from the Championship are keeping tabs on Lucketti and Warnock is surprised a deal has not yet been sealed.
"I can't believe these people have hesitated so many times," said Warnock.
"There have been three or four Championship clubs who have looked at him, but who must think at his age it's asking a lot.
"He could have gone three or four weeks ago, but he hasn't and I bet he's now really delighted he stayed.
"It doesn't bother me he hasn't gone because if there's anyone who deserves to play in the Premier League, it's Chris."
