Phil Brown hopes Chris Lucketti's recall will not ruin Hull's chances of signing the defender.
Phil Brown is hoping Chris Lucketti's recall to the Sheffield United team will not ruin his prospects of taking the defender to Hull City.
Lucketti is on the transfer list at Bramall Lane, but made his first Premiership appearance of the season on Saturday against Portsmouth.
But the recent signings of Matthew Kilgallon and Mamadou Seck are likely to mean the veteran centre-half will still be allowed to leave The Blades.
Brown has registered his interest in Lucketti and is now waiting to see if there will be any progress on a deal.
"Chris played very well on Saturday, but he still knows about our interest in him," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, confusion surrounds Hull's bid to bring Southampton midfielder David Prutton to his home-town club.
Brown claimed at the weekend that a second offer had been accepted and he confirmed he is trying to push the deal along.
He added: "I've spoken to David's agent on three occasions since Saturday and at the moment, there's nothing more to say."
But Southampton manager George Burley insists he has yet to accept an offer for Prutton, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Burley said: "There has been no bid accepted from Hull City.
"We turned down a bid last week and there is no change as far as Hull and David is concerned. The situation is exactly the same as last week."
