Sheffield United are sweating over the fitness of new boy Claude Davis after he picked up a knee injury.
The summer signing from Preston has suffered a recurrence of a troublesome knee problem.
Davis picked up the injury in Tuesday's friendly with Notts County and was forced to limp out of the clash.
Blades boss Neil Warnock is now anxiously waiting scan results to establish the severity of the injury.
"Claude had to come off as a precaution," Warnock told the club's official website.
"He keeps aggravating the knock he picked up earlier in pre-season.
"We will have to make a decision on whether to rest him or take him to Holland, but we will find out more in the next 24 to 48 hours. It's a case of 'wait and see'."
