Premiership new boys Sheffield United have reportedly set their sights on Ghana international Derek Boateng.
Blades boss Neil Warnock is determined to strengthen his squad further ahead of the upcoming season, and has been observing the World Cup with interest.
Boateng figured in three of The Black Stars' games in Germany, and is believed to have caught the eye of several clubs across Europe.
Beitar Jerusalem, as well as Scottish contenders Hearts, have also been linked with a move for the midfielder.
Boateng is currently at Swedish side AIK Solna but has been tipped to secure a high-profile transfer.
However, AIK sport director Stefan Soderberg has denied having received any meaningful interest.
"We haven't had any exciting proposals," he confirmed.
