Norwich City are amongst a number of clubs thought to be interested in Queens Park Rangers winger Lee Cook.
Cook scored when the two sides met earlier in the month and Nigel Worthington is keen to bring in some reinforcements in the summer.
Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with the 23-year-old but Rangers caretaker boss Gary Waddock insists he does not want the midfielder to leave.
However, should one of the league's big-guns make a large offer, Waddock admits the club's financial situation would mean they may have to cash in.
"I will not want to let him go because he is a quality player," said Waddock.
"But we all know the financial situation of the football club and if a big offer does come in for Lee Cook then money does talk."
