Chester City have terminated the loan deals of four players in the aftermath of their 5-0 drubbing at Carlisle last weekend.

Three of the four players only moved to The Deva Stadium a week ago, but have already been axed by manager Keith Curle after making only one appearance for the club.

Mark Roberts has been sent back to Crewe, while Evan Horwood and Chris Robertson have both returned to Sheffield United.

Meanwhile, Curle has decided not to extend the loan of Scunthorpe midfielder Wayne Corden after he played two games for City during a month at The Deva.
