Neil Warnock has insisted that he will not be looking to offload winger Jonathan Forte before Thursday's transfer deadline, but is keen to bring players in.

Warnock believes that Forte could have a part to play in the final part of the season for The Blades, and will not let him leave the club.

The news will come as a blow to Oldham boss Ronnie Moore who harboured hopes of signing the player.

"Ronnie Moore and two or three more have asked about him but he is flying again at the moment and we might take advantage of it," Warnock told the club's official website.

"Jono has been up and down recently but he is up at the moment and we could use his width.

"We will be working hard before next Thursday. I'd love to get a couple more in before we go to Reading to give us more options."
