Pool keeper attracting interest

Hartlepool United goalkeeper Jim Provett is believed to be attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old only signed a new deal at Victoria Park last month, but that may not prevent a bid coming in.

Provett is believed to have been watched closely over recent weeks as Blades boss Neil Warnock looks for a new number two to provide cover for first choice Paddy Kenny.

Knowing that Provett is being watched, Hartlepool are believed to have looked at potential replacements.

One of those is Manchester United's James Jowsey - who could be allowed to move on loan.

Meanwhile, defender Mark Robinson has joined Conference club Scarborough on a month's loan, having been at Spennymoor United for a previous loan spell earlier in the season.
