SHEFFIELD UNITED have finalised the signing of striker Steve Kabba from Crystal Palace.
Blades boss Neil Warnock made no secret of his desire to bring in a recognised target-man and he has finally got his man in the form of Kabba.
The pacy striker had been on loan at Grimsby Town this season, where he bagged an impressive six goals in 13 matches, but now moves to Bramall Lane in a deal worth circa £250,000.
The 21-year-old, an avid Palace fan, did not want another loan move and only agreed to join United on a permanent basis.
"We have had plenty of calls about Steven this week but the player was only interested in a permanent move," coach Trevor Francis told the club website.
"Late on Thursday night Sheffield United contacted our chairman about Steven and he travlled to Yorkshire to complete the deal on Friday morning."
