SHEFFIELD UNITED boss Neil Warnock has suggested that Georges Santos will not play for the club again.

Santos launched into an horrific X-rated challenge on Andy Johnson, to earn a red card during the shameful scenes in the abandoned clash with West Brom on Saturday.

The former Tranmere man entered the fray as a substitute in the 63rd minute and, after being involved in an awful clash with Johnson last season, when the Baggies midfielder was with Nottingham Forest, looked to be seeking retribution for the fractured eye socket he sustained in that incident.

Seconds after coming onto the pitch, Santos's sickening tackle flattened Johnson to earn a straight red card from referee Eddie Wolstenholme.

Patrick Suffo also went for an early bath, for appearing to headbutt Derek McInnes, and the game was abandoned when Michael Brown and Robert Ullathorne limped off with injuries.

"I don't think Georges will play another game for us," commented Warnock, who admits the result of the game when it was called off, 0-3, should stand.

Both Suffo and Santos are likely to be transfer listed.
