West Brom have had a bid of around £3m for winger Callum McManaman rejected by Wigan, according to Sky sources.

New Albion boss Tony Pulis is keen to reshape his squad in the January transfer window and was looking to make the 23-year-old his first signing for the club.

But West Brom may return with an increased offer for McManaman, who has scored five times for the struggling Championship side this season.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe would not confirm whether they are making moves to sign Callum McManaman.

Pulis has also made an approach to Manchester United, enquiring about a possible loan deal for Darren Fletcher.

It is understood the Scotland international is one of a number of midfield targets being considered by Albion.

Fletcher’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, and United may be willing to allow the 30-year-old to leave the club this month.

Albion go to Everton on Monday just two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League, although they are only one point behind their hosts who sit 13th in the table.
