Wigan Athletic will kick off their 2014/15 Championship campaign with a clash against Reading at the DW Stadium.
Uwe Rosler’s side finished fifth last season, but failed to get the better of Queens Park Rangers in their semi-final playoff.
The Latics will then face trips to Charlton Athletic and Cardiff City, before hosting Blackpool and Birmingham City later in the month of August.
Wigan will warm up for the busy festive period with a match against Rotherham United five days before Christmas and will take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Boxing Day.
Up next for the former Premier League club would be a home match against Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently managed by Stuart Gray.
Wigan will wrap up the regular 2014/15 Championship season with a clash against Rosler's former club Brentford away from home at Griffin Park.
Opening three games:
August 9 – Reading (h)
August 16 – Charlton (a)
August 19 – Cardiff (a)
