Defender looking forward to working with compatriot
Aston Villa defender Chris Herd believes fellow Australian Brett Holman will be a big success in the Premier League next season.
The 28-year-old agreed to join the West Midlands club from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar back in March.
Holman has already said that he cannot wait to play for Villa next season and is determined
to make an immediate impact.
And Herd believes Holman's ability to play as a second striker or on either wing will be a major advantage to Paul Lambert's side.
He told the club's official website: "I'm really forward to working with Brett and playing with him next season.
"I don't know him personally but I know he's a great player. He's proven that with AZ Alkmaar and Australia.
"He will definitely bring good things to the club. He's an attacking player and he can play anywhere - up front, wide, even in midfield - he's very versatile.
"But he's very good wherever he plays. He's had a good career so far and I'm sure that will continue with Villa."
