Swansea, Wigan, Forest & Bristol City keen on defender

Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are chasing Blackpool defender Stephen Crainey. Crainey is out of contract at Bloomfield Road and could leave the club on a free transfer. Premier League duo Swansea and Wigan, along with Nottingham Forest, are all thought to have expressed an interest in the Scotland international. Blackpool are believed to have offered Crainey a new deal, but the 29-year-old is keeping his options open. Crainey was one of Blackpool's most consistent performers during their campaign in the Premier League last season and his performances have not gone unnoticed. Swansea are in the market for a new left-back with Neil Taylor the subject of a bid from Newcastle. Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is believed to be an admirer of Crainey and would be keen on bringing the former Celtic man to the DW Stadium. Bristol City and Forest have both made new left-backs one of their top priorities this summer and Crainey is among their primary targets.
