Hannover have beaten off competition from two Premier League teams to sign Sevilla striker Arouna Kone on loan until the end of the season.
The relegation-threatened Bundesliga side have agreed a deal with the Ivory Coast international.
Kone was linked with potential moves to Wigan and Birmingham earlier in the season.
Kone, who is under contract at the Primera Liga side until 2012, has struggled to make an impact in Andalusia since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2007.
He has started just five matches for Manolo Jiménez's men this season.
