Boulogne keen to land Wigan midfielder

Boulogne have made a bid for Wigan's Olivier Kapo and hope to conclude a loan deal this week. The Ligue 1 outfit want to take the France international on a deal until the end of the season with a view to a permanent switch. The attacking midfielder has already confirmed his desire for regular first-team football and Boulogne are hopeful they can land Kapo. "It is on the record since the start of the December that we have wanted Kapo," said Boulogne sporting director Frederic Dupuis in Voix des Sports. "And it is probably our perseverance that had pleased Kapo. "To us this is a big deal, it will or will not happen in the next 48 hours. The player is currently in Paris, so we will see. "It is not done, but I am optimistic." Kapo currently has 18 months left on his contract at the DW Stadium, but he is down the pecking order under boss Roberto Martinez - making just one substitute appearance this season.
