Oldham winger Andy Liddell has left the club after having his contract terminated by the League One outfit.
Liddell's existing deal was due to expire in the summer and a settlement has now been agreed for the remainder of his contract.
The 35-year-old, who proved a popular player during his time at Boundary Park, has no intention of hanging up his boots and will be looking to get fixed up with a new club over the summer.
Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy was quick to pay tribute to the player's professionalism and service to the club since joining in 2005 from Sheffield United.
Settlement agreed
"We sat down with Andy this morning to discuss his situation," Hardy told the club's official website.
"And the result was that the football club would be terminating his contract.
"An agreement has been reached on a settlement and the player has now left the club with immediate affect.
"Andy has been a model professional throughout his time at Boundary Park and has been a model servant."
Despite falling out of favour in the second half of the season Liddell still managed a more than respectable eight goals from 34 appearances.
