Camara ready for opportunity

Striker keen to impress manager Steve Bruce

Henri Camara is hopeful of breaking into the Wigan Athletic starting XI after spending much of the season on the substitutes' bench. The form of strikers Emile Heskey and Amr Zaki has limited Camara to just seven Premier League appearances so far this term. However, Camara could make his second start of the campaign versus Arsenal in the Carling Cup on Tuesday after Heskey sustained a hamstring injury in the 0-0 draw against Stoke City. The Senegal international told the club's official website: "Sometimes you have to be patient and hopefully the manager will give me a chance because I feel I've got a lot to prove at this club. "It's great to be back, it's football and I want to play, so from that aspect it's a real positive. But the negative is the fact that we didn't manage to get the win against Stoke. "If you're not playing you have to be ready. You have to train hard just in case the chance comes."
