Wigan boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that African duo Julius Aghahowa and Salomon Olembe are set to join Turkish club Kayserispor.
The pair held talks with the Turks earlier this month and they are now set to finalise deals after manger Steve Bruce sanctioned the move.
Olembe is leaving on a free-transfer whilst Aghahowa is moving for a nominal fee - just 15 months after he joined the club for more than £2million from Shakhtar Donetsk.
"It's in place for Julius and Salomon to move on, and it's fair to say they are on the verge of finalising moves to Turkey," Bruce told the Evening Post.
"Salomon is out of contract soon so he's going on a free while there will be a small fee involved with Julius.
"It hasn't worked out for these two here - it's a shame but that's football.
"I watch Julius every day on the training ground and that reminds me what a very good finisher he is, but in the games it hasn't quite worked out.
"We will wish both lads well when they go and hope they have a better time in Turkey."
Bruce is also set to decide on the futures of loan duo Maynor Figueroa and Erik Hagen, whilst he will hold talks with out-of-contract duo Josip Skoko and Mike Pollitt.
"I have plans in my mind, but I can't really do anything until I know which division we are going to be playing in," he said.
"I'm meeting with Skoko's representatives in the next week or so, and I'll sit down with Pollitt soon.
"If we stay up, it makes things a lot easier."
Meanwhile, youth coach David Lowe has joined former boss Paul Jewell at Derby.
Bruce has wasted little time in finding his replacement in the shape of Dave Watson.
"David has joined the exodus to Derby - he left last Friday.
"Dave Watson is now coaching the youth team and he's started by winning the first two games 6-2 and 3-2 so he thinks it's a piece of cake!
"He has come into it until the end of the season at least and so far he's enjoying it.
"It's true Dave has been out of work for a long time in football terms since leaving Tranmere, but I really think he has the right personality, motivation and drive to succeed here.
"He had been doing some scouting for us, looking at our future opponents, so he knows a bit about the club."
