Wigan Athletic's newest signing Marlon King is hoping to make his debut against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
The former Watford striker had been set to join Fulham before eventually signing for Steve Bruce's side for £5million.
King is fully fit and hopes to make an early impact with his new club when Wigan travel to The Riverside.
"I'm raring to go. The big thing for me is plying my trade in the top flight," he told Sky Sports News.
"Hopefully I can bring something a bit different. It's a big game tomorrow night, hopefully I can play a part in that too."
King, who is not bitter at missing out on Fulham, has conceded Latics boss Steve Bruce played a key role in him arriving at the club.
"Sometimes when things don't work out for you, like they did at Fulham, it works for you," he continued.
"Steve Bruce played a massive part in me coming here, as he came to pick me up at the train station. He didn't have to do that.
"The quality of the squad that they've got here also impressed and they've got a good chance of staying in the Premier League."
