Wigan have signed Honduras left-back Maynor Figueroa after he impressed on trial.
Figueroa has agreed a deal until the end of the season after catching the eye of Latics boss Steve Bruce during his three weeks on trial at the JJB Stadium.
The 24-year-old follows Wilson Palacios in moving to Wigan from Deportivo Olimpia and Bruce believes he will be a valuable addition to the squad.
Attributes"He's strong, he's quick, he has a superb left foot and I think he has the attributes to adapt to the English game," Bruce told the club's official website.
"He's shown his desire to be with us by being away from his family all over Christmas and has shown plenty of potential in training."
