Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Sparta Rotterdam striker Rachid Bouaouzan.
The Dutch club have confirmed that the Moroccan has accepted a three-year contract at The JJB Staduim.
Bouaouzan had 12 months remaining on his deal with Sparta, but had fallen out with new coach Gert Aandewiel.
He revealed on Thursday morning that he has settled on personal terms with Wigan and was waiting for the two clubs to agree a fee.
"I have already agreed personal terms with the club (Wigan)," Bouaouzan told De Telegraaf.
"But we have to wait for Sparta to turn all the lights to green. And that will happen when the two clubs agree on the transfer fee."
Sparta have now confirmed on the club's official website that a deal has been agreed for the 23-year-old to move to England.
Details of the fee have not been disclosed, with Bouaouzan the latest player to join Chris Hutchings' new-look squad.
Hutchings had hinted at making more signings before the close of the transfer window and has also been linked with Charlton Athletic's Marcus Bent and Manchester City's Darius Vassell.
