Chris Hutchings insists Wigan Athletic have received no further bids for Leighton Baines.

The full-back turned down a move to Sunderland on Wednesday and has been heavily linked with a switch to Everton.

But, speaking after the friendly win over Blackpool, Latics boss Hutchings confirmed there has been no additional interest in Baines.

"I can't top speculation about other clubs putting bids in, but that was the only one we've had for Leighton," Hutchings told Sky Sports News.

"That's how it stands.

"He knows he's got to work hard in training. I've got a good relationship with him, I'm very open-minded with him, we get on well and he's going to do his best for Wigan at this moment in time."

Baines was a second-half substitute in the 2-1 success at Blackpool and Hutchings has no concerns about the defender's attitude.

He added: "He's always been committed to Wigan, he just wanted the option to talk to Sunderland and we gave him that option.

"He went out there in the second half and I think he enjoyed the game.

"He's here, he's under contract and whatever happens, happens, so we'll take it from there."
