FA reject Hall appeal

The FA have turned down Fitz Hall's appeal over his red card against Watford.

The Football Association have turned down Fitz Hall's appeal over his red card against Watford.

Hall was sent-off for a two-footed tackle on Yohann Cavalli during Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road.

The 26-year-old was shown a straight red card for the offence by referee Rob Styles.

Wigan were hopeful that the decision would be overturned but after a hearing on Friday The FA have decided to uphold the verdict.

It means Hall will miss this weekend's game with Newcastle and the next two ties with Manchester City and Fulham.
