Dutch international midfielder Denny Landzaat has hit out at reports which suggested he had grown unsettled at Wigan.
The schemer arrived at The JJB Stadium in the summer from AZ Alkmaar, but he has so far failed to find his best form in the Premiership.
And reports emanating from his native Holland claimed Landzaat had grown disillusioned with life in England.
Landzaat, though, claims that although he has not found his best form, he is happy with how things are progressing at Wigan.
"There was a story in the press in Holland which has upset me and I have been misquoted," Landzaat told the club's website. "I came in first thing yesterday morning to set the record straight face to face with the manager and apologised for the confusion caused.
"The quotes have been taken totally out of context.
"I always knew it would take time, and I know that the Wigan fans have not really seen the real Denny Landzaat yet."
