Burnley have swooped to sign keeper Mike Pollitt on a month's loan from Wigan.
Pollitt has slipped behind Chris Kirkland in the JJB pecking order and Latics chief Paul Jewell is happy for the keeper to head away from the club for a second time this term.
The 34-year-old had a spell at Ipswich earlier in the season and Jewell feels the move will benefit all parties.
"It is a problem when you have three such good goalkeepers at one club, because one is always not going to be involved in the squad if they're all fit," Jewell told the club's official website.
"I hope Polly gets to get some games under his belt with Burnley, because nothing improves sharpness better than matches."
Wigan have inserted a 24-hour recall clause in the deal.
