Wigan defender Leighton Baines faces a spell on the sidelines through injury.

Baines is suffering with a calf problem and he is expected to be out for three weeks.

The full back picked up the injury while on international duty with England's Under-21s against their Dutch counterparts last week.

Baines missed last weekend's goalless draw with Aston Villa and Latics boss Paul Jewell expects to be without the player for a few more games.

"It looks like we're going to be without him for maybe two or three more weeks yet," said Jewell.
