Wigan manager Paul Jewell has revealed that he may consider bringing Nathan Ellington back to The JJB Stadium in the summer.

Ellington left The Latics for West Brom last summer, but the move turned sour as he failed to prevent the club from slipping out of The Premiership.

Jewell remains a fan of the striker and has hinted he may be interested in launching a summer bid for the 24-year-old.

"It is no secret that I am a big fan of his," said Jewell. "So far it has not gone that well for him at West Brom.

"But I have not been in contact with his agent or the club."

The Baggies shelled out £3 million to land Ellington last summer and may well attempt to recoup some of that fee in a bid to cut their cloth following relegation to The Championship.
